Group Portraits Indoor

I love using multiple people in photo shoots because of the atmosphere and creativity that multiple people can bring to the shoot. People are social creatures and when more people are introduced to the table they become more open, casual, relaxed, and fun. They “feed” off of each other’s “energy.”

These photos are from my recent Haloween photoshoot. I had the great opportunity of working with these wonderful people inside a beautiful venue. The fact that we were indoor helped to keep the photoshoot going until late into the night. This is the great part about taking portraits indoor, you can take the pictures at any time of the day without issue. This group of models was so easy to work with.

Tim Sutherland has some great tips and advice for taking group portraits, specifically families, but it can be used for many other groups too.
